You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Psalm 23:5
What if I told you, your table has already been prepared for you? But you’ll have to walk through a swamp filled with snakes; they won’t be able to harm you. You will have to walk through the fire; it won’t burn you. You’ll have to walk through the water, but your Red Sea will be parted. You’ll experience some dry seasons; rain will come eventually. You’ll run into some closed doors, but they will eventually open. Or maybe you’ll have to spend a good amount of time in the wilderness to get to the table God has already prepared for you. There will be moments of fear and doubts, but you’ll have to overcome them. Darling, I’m telling you, your table is ready, but the million dollar question is:
“Are you going to take a seat at the table?”
Are you willing to pass the test in your current season? Are you ready to get past your fears and go after the vision God has laid before you? You know the one you keep putting off. The one that seems bigger than you and you don’t know where the money is coming from. You don’t know how to start. ‘Oh God I can’t do this.’ ‘God I’m not smart enough.’ ‘God I don’t have the skills to do this.’ ‘God this and God that.’ Are you willing to let go and let God? Are you prepared to give all of yourself to God so that He can perfect His will in your life? If you can surrender everything into His hands, He can add His super-to-your-natural and you will do the impossible. God has already equipped you to do the things He has called you to do. You have to tap into it.
“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
He works in us through the Helper. It’s important to get acquainted with the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who enables you to do what you cannot do. You need to be familiar with His voice. The Holy Spirit is there to guide you on your journey. When He is present in your life, He guides you and provides wisdom. The Holy Spirit gives you the courage to face life head on. You CAN walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil. You won’t even look to the left or the right in fear of what is coming against you. You will look straight ahead. The Holy Spirit gives you blinders. You will not be distracted by the problems of life. God left us a Helper to help us fulfill everything He has called us to do here on earth. He knew you would not be able to do these things on your own accord.
Again, my friend your table is ready, are you ready to have a seat? Can you take your eyes off of whatever valley or mountain you are facing today? Will you lift up your eyes to Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of your faith? Are you ready to put on your blinders? It doesn’t matter what is to the left or right of you; it’s time you look ahead. It’s time you stop procrastinating about what God has placed in your heart. It’s time you stop avoiding certain areas. It’s time to stop blaming the enemy for everything that is going wrong in your life. Satan’s powers are limited. He only hold’s certain power because we often relinquish our power to him due to fear. Fear is often the stronghold he has on us.
Take back your power
But today is a new day. God did not give you a spirit of fear. He gave you, power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). God gave you dominion over every living thing on the earth (Gens 1:26). The power is given to you by the authority, there is in the name of Jesus Christ. If you don’t exercise this power daily, the enemy is robbing you. You have control over your emotions. When anger comes, begin to rebuke and pray it out. Anything that your Heavenly Father has not planted in your life, He has given you the power and authority to ROOT IT OUT. Stop playing with the enemy; he is not to be played with. Don’t give him any leeway; don’t you give him any chances to roam free in your life. I was once told, “if you don’t put the devil where He belongs (which is under your feet), he will put you, where you don’t belong.” As a result, I don’t entertain him. Before he thinks about attacking, I’ve already waged war in advance.
Before I conclude, I’m going to ask you one last time. Are you ready to have a seat at your table? Darling, your blessings has already been prepared for you. But you are going to have to declare them in existence. You are going to have confessed them over your life every day. You are going to have spent time in the presence of the Lord. You are going to have to pray against the spirit of delay. You are going to have wage war against the enemy’s camp. You are going to have stepped out of faith. Most importantly, you will need to hold tight to Jesus, trust Him, lean not to your own understanding but acknowledge Him all your ways. He will make the crooked places straight.
Friends are you ready to have a sit at your prepared table?
